History

In our complex political climate, it is essential that our students have the tools to understand the dynamics of world history and American history. Our Social Studies department offers a full range of Regents level and Advanced Placement courses to promote this understanding. In addition, selected students can also matriculate for history and political science courses at CUNY Hunter College under the auspices of our COLLEGE NOW program. Senior students who do not elect to study at the Advanced Placement level complete courses in participation in government and economics. In the weeks prior to exams, after-school tutoring and Saturday school are offered.
